IDFPR Distance Learning Policy
Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation has specific guidelines in regards to Distance Education for Real Estate. Before beginning any distance education courses, be sure to have received from the institution:
- Contact information for school faculty
- Description of homework assignments
- Testing sites, proctors, etc.
- Class and broadcast schedules
Required materials list (software, etc.)- Grading and course credit information
- Physical locations of distance sites
- Procedures for making up missed sessions
- Deadlines, including registration and withdrawal periods
- Toll Free Numbers
- Fees
- Americans with Disabilities and special needs information
- Mailing procedures
- Technology support services offered to students and other resource information
- Assignment completion schedules
- Certificate of Completion issuance
Students must be given complete information on the nature and specifics of offered programs. Because of the technologies involved in distance education course work, it is imperative that students have this information readily available to them.
